I'm running out of ideas and would really appreciate your help. I've tried using different USB Interfaces in the back and in the front of my PC. Which leads me to the question: What could I be doing wrong? Now Reaper will also show the Piano in the MIDI Devices list: I can play the Piano and get the signal to reaper when I connect the E-Piano to my PC by connecting one end of the USB to the Pianos (to host) and the other end to my PC but I would like to use the USB Audio Interface in between. I also have disabled the option that my computed can turn off a device to save power wherever possible and disabled the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synthesizer. (I've read somewhere that I need to disable the Output "Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth", so I did - and also changed the ID mapping from 0 to 1 (so Tascam "before" - although it is already disabled) When I press a key on the VSTi I can hear the sound through the headphones.īut when I press the key on the real keyboard - although I've selected MIDI All Channels (also tried the other options) it won't work. I could also set the Output range to TASCAM but then I'd have top connect the Headphones to the USB Interface - which I don't want for now. I've selected "Cloud Revolver S" as my output because I would like to hear what I'm playing through the headphones.

I have downloaded and installed Asio4Allv2 and the driver is configured like this in Reaper: The problem is that when I press the keys on the piano, the MIDI Signal doesn't trigger the VSTi to play. (I hope the heading is formulated correctly) Hello, I'm having trouble setting up Reaper and my E-Piano. We'd love to hear what you have produced with Reaper, but please post it in the weekly sticky.

Posts should be related to Reaper, the digital audio workstation and MIDI sequencer software created by Cockos. Go to Settings->General->Input/Output and make sure the Audio/MIDI settings are sensible, then open a soundfont and select an instrument under Presets and it should be ready to play music from your MIDI controller, or from the built-in virtual keyboard.
