Now it’s worth pointing out that Operators don’t provide any gameplay advantage. Spending $69.99 should include all the Operators. It’d be one thing if Price, Farah, Soap or Ghost were DLC characters. And it seems kind of crappy that they would lock Operators behind a paywall from the start. That seems pretty expensive just to unlock a few playable characters.

So in order to unlock Ghost, Farah, Price and Soap as Operators in multiplayer, you’d have to spend $99.99, or $30 more than the game’s basic price. The Vault Edition was the more expensive version at $99.99 but came with a bunch of digital bonuses such as the Red Team 141 Operator Pack. The Cross-Gen Bundle for $69.99 was the cheapest and only included the game itself. There are only two versions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 currently available. As confirmed by Activision in a blog post, Price, Farah, Soap and Ghost Operators are only available via the Vault Edition’s Red Team 141 pack. Unfortunately, the only way to unlock these four beloved characters as Price, Farah, Soap and Ghost Operators playable Operators in multiplayer is to spend money.
